We are thrilled to announce our next workation for this October!
We are going to Sende in a tiny village in Northern Spain,
right on the border with Portugal.
Immerse yourself into the rural life of Galicia, Spain.
Become part of a supportive community of creatives, entrepreneurs, digital nomads and all of you who want to become one.
Take a break from the hectic city life, from the constant noise, the 20 different Wi-Fi signals that are around you replace city lights with the stars. You will enjoy the place that is built to make meaningful relationships.
Let’s cook together garden food and enjoy a glass of local wine at the campfire.
Sende is an ideal place to get focused and finish that big project that is sitting on your To Do list. It’s ideal because it’s located in a 20 inhabitants village, surrounded by nature, singing birds and fresh air.
Let have a look at a typical day in Sende…
During the morning we will have a meditation or workout sessions to get ourselves energized for the day. If you prefer to start with breakfast directly grab a fresh squeezed orange juice or hot brewed coffee. Cheers!
Afterwards you will start your co-working session, stuff needs to get done. Choose the rooftop outside, a corner in the garden where you have privacy or one of the two coworking spaces.
In the afternoon you will have a different workshops, mastermind groups or activities going on that you can choose to join.
Ethical marketing, social business in tourism, a presentation about the story of Economadia, hot seat for business boosting, an excursion to the near-by hot springs, hiking in the mountains and more.
Due to your individual preference we are flexible to create the program to have the ultimate experience everybody together. You are more than welcome to bring in something yourself.
Our goal is to have you growing and striving so that you can help us growing and strengthening our Economadia community, to meet people offline in real life. We want to enable you to meet like-minded people and to facilitate co-creating exciting and impactful projects. We wish that we all get a boost in personal and business development.
Economadia offers workations in exclusive locations in rural and less populated areas in order to have best conditions to be focused and concentrated on what really matters: your projects, the people in your proximity, good and healthy food, fresh air, space, tranquility, the beauty of nature, and occasionally a jump into the fresh water.
The common denominator of Economads is the desire to use the individual location independence for something meaningful and a community where we get back from when giving. The interest in using skills and experiences for the betterment of our everyday lives.

HOUSING
Depending a bit of the number of people we will stay in one or two different houses on the ground.
You can choose between staying in a bunk bed sharing the room with several people or private rooms for your own or else to share with your partner.
We can assure that you will spend most of your time outside with the other people, in the co-working area or somewhere in the beautiful surroundings.
FOOD
Food is cooked and ingredients are coming from the village gardens and local markets. We will organize us in groups so that everyone will help to have our food on the table. You will eat well while knowing who planted the tomatoes.
We created menus for the productivity while BBQ is reserved for the lazy days.

FAQ
B-b-b-but is there good and stable internet?!No worries, we are covered with 4G unlimited with 20-30mbps download, however, upload is a bit slow with only 1 mbps. If you need to have a better speed we can arrange this. How the heck do I get there?A quick check on google might have told you that there is no airport in Senderiz. We recommend to you to either come to Porto, Portugal where we will have a meeting of all participants the day before we start and we offer transportation from there or you need to make your way to Ourense, Spain, take a bus from there to Bande from where we would pick you up then. Read more about this on the website of Sende.Can I come later or leave earlier?We really recommend to take advantage of the full time. Participating from the beginning on will be much better and advantageous for you and for the group dynamics than jumping in later or leaving earlier. Also, we will not reduce the price.How can I get a feeling for what sort of people I am going to meet?Glad you’re asking! A very good indicator is our Economadia Manifesto which we recommend you to go through.How well do I need to speak English?You should be fluent in order to express yourself well and to be able to understand most of the things that we exchange during this time in our group. If you make some grammatical mistakes such as we do here on our website sometimes that’s fine 🙂Do I have to be location independent already?Many people have the assumption that they already have to be in a situation where they are location independent, living a digital nomad lifestyle. While this helps of course for certain things, this is not a criterion to join. The key is to have a open and positive mindset. Our participants come from all walks of life but the common denominator is a genuine interest in using location independence for something meaningful and a community that gives back when you give.What should I bring for this workation?Next to your computer, camera and your swimming clothes we recommend to bring some solid shoes for hiking. Also, some warm cloths for the evenings and something against rain is recommendable. Maybe don’t bring your best dress which you want to use for the next birthday of your grandmother.What is not included in the price?Flights/train/bus that takes you to Porto, Portugal (alternatively another location where we agree to pick you up), overnight stay before and after the workation program, personal medical items, potential visa costs, any extraordinary activity which is not part of the normal program, personal purchases.Do I need to participate in every activity?Every activity is optional. We do recommend you join our custom made program during the time to get the best experience. You will have plenty of time in between the activities to relax, work or to do whatever you feel like.Sende looks fantastic! Can I stay longer afterwards?
